Description
Over the centuries, the perilous coasts of Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly have become the graveyards of thousands of ships. This book tells the dramatic stories of twenty-one of these shipwrecks, carefully curated to represent the different eras of Sail, Steam and Modern Technology. The story of each wreck is vividly reconstructed by Richard Larn OBE, whose experience as a diver on many of the wrecks spans seven decades. They are further brought back to life through the paintings and drawings of Oliver Hurst, who captures the sea’s elemental force and sensitively depicts key moments in the lives of those involved. Foreword to the book is written by Sir Tim Smit.
