Jade is the only person in her rapidly gentrifying rural lake town who can see the truth – they are living in a slasher film. Only her encyclopaedic knowledge of horror cinema has prepared her, and with the arrival of the ‘Final Girl’ she’s convinced an irreversible sequence of events has been set into motion. As tourists start to go missing, and tensions, Jade prepares for the killer to rise, unearthing all the town’s buried secrets. Because as the small and peaceful town heads towards catastrophe, Jade must prepare for the final showdown, between rich and poor, past and present, townsfolk and celebrities – slasher and ‘Final Girl’.
